Guys I've had a successful chargeback via my bank [ revolut ] for webops.

I emailed them directly, they claimed to not have funds etc etc. Within 2 days of raising with my bank, they issued a refund. Granted it was only for £320 but it's still a lot. So if you have this company on your banking statements. Raise no goods service, they refund immediately. Good luck guys x

I contacted Eduntage they refunded only £20 one transaction of a few thousand. Now ignoring me this was 2 weeks ago. If anyone knows how to deal with this company I'd be grateful thank you. They are annoying me! X

Hi,

Does anyone have dealings with chargeback from 20bet or 22bet. Payment processor mtech based in Cyprus I think, I am based in EU. Matter of chargeback with mtech as 'goods not received'? I don't have any receipt from them and cannot find an email address...

Anyone successful this way? Thanks

Also, I see from revolut transactions they are tagged as entertainment, is this the same MCC classification as gambling 7995? Thanks

Legit gambling sites usually comes up as entertainment on revolut. Code is 7995 not 7095

That’s true — to be fair, Casino Guru does list Betti as "not licensed in the UK," which is a good start.

But, they do also show a green tick next to "Accepts players from United Kingdom" — which kind of contradicts the warning. If a site accepts UK players and isn't licensed here, that’s a red flag that should be made way more prominent.

Plus, I noticed Betti’s page still shows bonus information and a "Visit Casino" button, which makes it feel more like an affiliate promotion than an impartial warning. That kind of thing can be confusing to new players and undermines the idea that they’re trying to protect users.

Just feels like there’s room for platforms like this to be more transparent — especially when people are losing money through MCC-masked transactions and have no way to raise complaints with the UKGC.

Hello,

Just to add the context: the information about licenses and allowed countries is not a warning; it is information for players. I understand that this information may seem unusual in this particular thread, but we prioritize transparency. Therefore, the green tick indicates that the casino still welcomes players from the UK, even though the UKGC license is absent. Players are free to check the license information anytime in the review. The button has nothing to do with any affiliation; we just know that many players prefer bonuses, and tests showed us that they need this button to navigate to the casino. Don't get me wrong here, but if players are not willing to read the review or guides, they may find many things confusing.

I personally do not consider every player from the UK to be addicted and in my opinion, the MCC codes are a thread just for the addicted players with active banking gambling blocks. For the rest, though, it is just the way to receive the money or deposit.

Using an incorrect merchant code doesn't necessarily make every deposit an act of scam. If a reasonable player wants to play outside his regulator, I see that as a choice, a free option.

Well, I hope you are not offended. I just wanted to explain the basics. Of course, from the legal perspective, the matter would be quite different; however, this thread suggests that even the legal aspect is not straightforward or universally applicable.

In any case, when it comes to addicted players registered on Gamstop, I see the offshore casinos as the only option since the player is unable to play under his regulator anymore, which is the worst part of all this. I wish there were unified responsible gambling standards, which would prevent this.

Like I said, I empathize with you, but there is nothing Casino Guru could do about it the third-party merchants have always been there, as have the players who wish to play in such casinos. 🙁

Bbpaul

I see you just edited it to 7995 now. If this code is attached to the transactions you obviously don't have a case for wrong mcc.

Bbpaul

Yeh I updated the code as I misremembered the code for gambling. The revolut have it tagged as entertainment, is this definitely the same code or was there ever a gambling specific code on revolut? I seem to remember there was at one stage and if they did would this not flag unusually high transactions more often? Thanks

Anyone have any chargeback success in revolut with payment processors MTech and buton? Again going down the route of goods/services not received....

ust wanted to flag something that might concern others following this thread.

I recently submitted both a detailed complaint and a user review to Casino Guru about Betti1.com — one of several offshore casinos using questionable practices like:

Accepting UK players despite being unlicensed by the UKGC

Masking transactions under unrelated merchant names

Allowing credit card-based deposits via hidden channels

Ignoring GDPR Subject Access Requests, even when submitted formally

Despite being respectful and backed by clear facts, Casino Guru rejected both the complaint and review. The only explanation given was that it didn’t meet their criteria — even though the content was based purely on personal experience and compliance-related concerns.

Meanwhile, Betti still holds a 6.6/10 "Above Average" safety rating on their site, and they actively promote the casino with affiliate links and bonus banners. No real warnings are visible to UK players.

This raises some worrying questions:

How can platforms claim to protect players while filtering legitimate criticism?

Is there a conflict of interest when the same casinos being reviewed are helping generate affiliate revenue?

Just thought this was worth raising here — especially with so many people dealing with MCC-masked merchants and no route for chargebacks. If we can’t even share our experiences on the review platforms, the problem only grows.

Would be interested to hear if anyone else has had reviews or complaints blocked like this.

Hello,

I believe I have already responded to your message, even though I was unaware of it. We prioritize fairness over legal aspects because we are not lawyers. So, even if the casino is missing every single Europe-based license, unless the allowed countries are respected, my colleagues do not consider it a reason for refunds and a justified complaint. It is best to read the review and then decide whether anyone wants to play outside their regulation. However, using the missing license as a tool for complaining afterwards is not something we support. Sadly, this argument has been pretty much used as an excuse for no-risk gambling.

However, I believe lawyers would disagree, so I would consider consulting with them.

Nothing else is considered, as I said; players are welcome to consult the license before they register. No schemes involved, I can assure you.

Are you aware of filters that help you sort out only UKGC-based casinos? It is supposed to be preset for players from the UK. However, the VPN usually changes the settings because our website dynamically responds to the country settings.

The design may appear differently on mobile devices, I believe. In any case, I completely understand your concerns, and I'm sorry you expected something we can't follow.

These are 100% scam sites and should never have any sort of green light attached to them. If you attempt to play on any offshore casino then you are automatically blocked due to legal restrictions. These dodgy casinos allow you to register and deposit freely with no safeguards in place. Net deposit limits arent a thing to them. There are literally no restrictions to protect customers. They just take take take... they take all your money and then you want to withdraw your winnings they block your account. They use 3rd party merchants and make out you are paying for cryptocurrency. They are scammers and this should be made loud and clear as a warning to people. I know first hand and so do many others on this forum. If these sites acted legitimately, access would automatically be blocked to consumers out of the jurisdiction. There is a reason these companies were fined €5 euros by the Spanish gambling commission with bans put in place along with Sweden also banning them. They do not operate with valid license in these countries including UK and Netherlands.

Bbpaul

I respect your opinion, but I won't respond to this because I feel it would only make you more angry, which is not my intention.

Radka

I'm not angry. This is just factual. And not nice to be on the receiving end to.

Bbpaul

Well, if you are concerned about fees or anything else related to unfair experience, please submit the complaint. My colleagues will take care of the rest, including the explanation. I don't want to oppose you, but my colleagues can only calculate and use certain things. The Safety Index focused on several key factors or additional effects the Data Team could measure, for example. For the rest, there are user reviews and the forum. 🙏

210k I won on Rolletto.com and they rejected 7 withdrawal attempts and blocked my account. Absolute scammers . MyStake.com done the same. Santeda bv are a bunch of crooks.

Thank you for the details; I understand. We need players like you to voice their complaints because it must have been a horrible experience. My colleagues can only take on the casinos if they have the proof. Please then file the complaints and provide evidence of these practices. I am afraid forum posts will never accomplish that.

Tman11

All I'm saying is entertainment is used for gambling on revolut. I'm not sure of your specific details regarding merchant or casino as I've not heard of these before.
