I was informed that if I wagered NZD 7,500 within the week, I would qualify for the NZD 7,500 weekly withdrawal limit instead.

This effectively incentivised further gambling in order to gain reasonable access to already-won funds.

As someone who struggles with gambling impulse control, this system created a harmful dynamic:

- Winnings were withheld over an extended period.

- A clear wagering target was presented to unlock faster withdrawals.

Once you win big and stop playing, your level gets automatically lowered and that affects your withdrawal limits. Is it annoying and looks like a shady move on the casino side? Definitely. May it persuade you to leave (once you have your money) and start playing in another casino that doesn't do this? I would expect so. But to be clear - in no way it is connected to responsible gambling. RG is about protecting vulnerable players and gambling addicts, nothing to do with withdrawals.
