So I've just deposited here and when trying to get my bonus on chat I was presented with this message, I have not made any bets or wagered as I wanted to play with a bonus

But since they are closing I have asked for a withdrawal (without wagering any amount) is this the best approach or should I ask for a refund another way?

I think the best thing to do would be to just make a withdrawal when the casino recommends it, so I guess your money will be refunded normally. What else would you like to do in this case?
