To me, it seems they used the "API rule" to gain an advantage over players - At first, they should prove you've broken it on purpose to get yourself some kind of edge. Otherwise, they are just being unfair.
Secondly, if they think there has been any bonus abuse/fraud activity, why pay you anything, I wonder?
